What We Do
KCM is a business psychology consultancy committed to helping people and their organisations thrive by boosting leadership, resilience, purpose and connection.
We specialise in creating tailored leadership development experiences, cultivating productive organisational cultures and supporting people through change and challenge. We do this with coaching, facilitation, instructional design, training and organisational research.
Our approach is rooted in neuroscience and psychology, putting our considerable understanding of human nature at the heart of everything we do. This means our solutions are robust and deeply human.
Our approach is also highly personalised. We work in close partnership with you to understand your team’s unique needs and cultural quirks so that whatever we do is as impactful as it can possibly be.

A it About Me
Hi, I’m Kirsty.
I have developed behaviour change solutions for some of the world’s most successful organisations, including Unilever, Maersk, Harrods, Rothschild & Co, and Beazley.
I founded KCM Consulting to help leaders and people team professionals drive performance in their organisations by really understanding what makes people - and, specifically, their people - tick.
My Story
It all started at the University of Oxford, where I studied psychology and neuroscience and fell completely in love with the subject.
In my years at MindGym, a soft skills training provider, I came to appreciate the relevance of academic research (is it real and does it work, or is it simply a popular framework that we’re all recycling?) in creating robust learning interventions. But I became frustrated with the ‘off-the-shelf’ nature of almost all training. While many organisations face challenges that sound similar on the surface, achieving a real-time shift in behaviour is always deeply context-dependent.
During my time working at Nicholson McBride, a consultancy focused on leadership, culture and team development, I learned to work without prescribed products, models and processes. There, I witnessed the power of thoroughly understanding a situation first and building a solution second.
As interim Head of Leadership Development for a bank in London, I also witnessed first-hand the tensions that exist (between, for example, quality and cost-effectiveness, speedy delivery and wider coordination, careful design and serendipity, external and internal expertise) when it comes to implementing initiatives that improve leadership, relationships and motivation in the workplace.
With KCM, my objective is to offer organisations the best of both worlds: the efficacy of what’s proven and the resonance of what’s tailored, without unnecessary rigidity, cost or complexity. Because you don’t always need to reinvent the wheel, but you do need the solution to properly fit your culture, your strategy, and the target audience.
After over a decade in the field of organisational psychology and leadership development, the conclusion remains inescapable: while utterly irrational, humans are surprisingly predictable - if you know what you’re looking for!
I now make it my mission to help professionals understand themselves and others better in service of creating more connected, purposeful workplaces.
